Points in last 2 but more importantly, he\'s +2!!!

i\'m THIS close to dropping him but he keeps messing with my mind like this.

    also,

koivu vs. macdonald. who fares better in pts and +/-?

not quite ready to go there but

8 points in the last 9 games, 5 ppp, is reason to hope - the minus 6 in those 9 games makes it messy.

I take Koivu by a small margin.

i was at the flames-sharks game last night and he looked as good as any of the sharks. the relief on his face when he scored was hard to miss.

Yeah, I wasn\'t at the game but I watched it...he wasn\'t quite looking like the Marleau of old, but he was looking good and getting his chances.

Cheechoo on the other hand....he managed to get a goal, but damn he did not look good at all.

I was one of those that couldn\'t believe how cheechoo ever scored more than 50... he\'s not really that good a player. that said, he had some chances, and if he could get his confidence back he\'ll start potting them again. big joe is sick.

Some guys are just born to thread the needle. I never saw Bossy as that great a player. I wonder if it isn\'t all in the release?

Yeah...it\'s all about the results, not how they look doing it I suppose.

The guy who really impressed me though was Michalek, he was amazing against the Flames. Could have had a couple goals that game if it weren\'t for Kipper and he was everywhere on the ice.

Yeah, Michalek is a great player... a little short on scoring touch though... If only Wilson could hire some voodoo doctor to combine the best of both Cheech and Michalek...

I read an interview done with Jumbo early in the year - he has nothing but positives to say about Michalek - says he is likely the smartest hockey player he knows - and adds the guy is a horse with skill - I think it is just a matter of time.

my personal take on the marleau thing is seeing if he can give a 10 (or so) points in 10 games type of deal, and if he drops off on the 11th if he will give a point in the 12th.

i know, it takes a while to feel/see, and a risk if someone plucks him up; but like shoeless said (or someone ahead of me, sorry for misquoting you if so) he\'s got about 8 in 8 games so far with a bunch of PPP\'s...

my take: he\'s not turned the corner yet, but is very close if so.

I plucked him in a roto league with a decent bench just in case - can\'t do it in my money league with a shorter bench and a crunch to get productive games in - but I would like to.
