Sykora/Elias or Tanguay/Hejduk

I\'d be getting Tanguay/Hejduk.

Now I know both these players have a superior track record for consistently putting up points. None of these players will crack my keepers at the end of the year and point scoring is strictly goals and assists.

The question is this [as neither Sykora or Elias is counting in my pool...they\'re about 3 points back], what are your scoring projections for these 4 players by the end of the year?

Elias seems to be rounding into form and Sykora [streaky though he is] is starting to score again. Tanguay is consistent but on the second line and Hejduk is on and injury ridden Avs team right now.

I\'m punting higher playoff potential for points in our regular season pool which I\'m winning [and looking for fringe insurance].

I\'d always go with Tanguay/Hejduk over Sykora Elias. Tanguay is great, he\'s just playing a more defensive role for now but he\'ll come around and heat up for the 2nd half. Hejduk just doesn\'t have the Sakic or Stasny playing with him right now and he\'s still doing decent. With Stasny coming back I\'d definitely do it.
I like Elias but Sykora just doesn\'t do it for me.

Does Elias outscore either Hejduk or Tanguay this season? I agree, I don\'t think Sykora does.

That\'s a tough one. If I had to guess he\'d outscore Tanguay but on that Devils team I\'d still go with Tanguay over Elias, something just tells me he\'\'ll have a slump or something (watch him get a hat-trick next game).

I know on the surface this trade looks like a no-brainer, but my thinking is only 1 of either pair is likely to count on my F roster anyway [we count the highest 12].

So what I\'m really interested in is figuring out which one of these four is likely to score the highest point total for this season. Tanguay leads the way currently, but Elias has been closing on the point-per-game pace over the past few weeks.

I\'m sure Sykora won\'t count so by making the trade I have two possibilities to count over the one [Elias] I currently have. I\'m just looking for opinions on Elias\'s potential for this year vs. Hejduk or Tanguay\'s potential.

I\'d take the Tanguay Hejduk side in a heartbeat. Stasny and Sakic will be back in the next 2 weeks and Hejduk will start going on a tear again. Tanguay may get traded and end up being a top line player for a team in which case that may only increase his production. Make the trade, sit back, have a cold one, and call it a day!

I hate to agree with marty...even though I don\'t like hejduk, he\'s likely right, his production has to get better. and Tanguay\'s trade SHOULDN\'T hurt him...if it happens. however...Marty is a reknowned Nordics/Av\'s fan..so he\'s not to be trusted
