I would be taking staal in a second, he is slow so far but always puts up numbers, he will out point Benn,
Hey,
So I've been offered Staal for my Benn. But I'm actually considering holding on to Benn. Is that as stupid as it sounds???? We only keep 6 players and i'm not sure either would be a keeper. I'm currently in 3rd place. I need Staal's shots but he's been awfully quiet while Benn has been hot fire.
HELP!!!!

Take Staal and run with him. I personally believe that Benn will become what Stall is. I really do...as early as this season even. However, until he does reach that level consistently, there is a risk. No matter how much you or I or anyone else believe Benn's potential will be reached. With Stall, that potential has been realized long ago.
Those 2 are not close. Eric Staal with absolute ease. Please do this haha.
Never doubt your first instinct, actually, maybe that's not the smartest advice...but in this case, I would be very very hesitant letting go of Benn. Of course he doesn't have the track record of Staal, but Benn is a great fit on an upstart Dallas team. I'm probably just as crazy as you, and wouldn't make this deal...just too much to like about Benn

Yeah you're crazy.
Let's say Stall is an 80 pt player and Benn is almost gauranteed to become an 85 pt player for example, how much value do you put in that possible 5 extra pts vs the posibilty that Benn never reaches the consistency of Stall and becomes a 65-75 pt player? Now, if you are projecting Benn to be a 100 pt option (which Stall has hit), that's a different story...
I'm usually a big believer in a known quantity however...
Let's remove Staal's 100pt season his numbers aren't all that astounding. His career avg. is 72 pts and minus 5 .. Considering he's .5 ppg and -9 will he recover?? And be better than Benn(this year)??
