    Default Reimer out

Didn't start the second. Got run acouple times in the first.

Gustavsson just gave up a goal on his first shot.
    He sucks.
Whoever nicknamed him The Monster should be ashamed.

Awful game for the goalie crashing. I understand the idea of teams going hard to the net but goalies shouldn't be on their ass all game.

yeah the only difference is that when Reimer gets bumped we get a penalty, and when Price gets bumped we get a penalty

must be an all-Ontario ref duo tonight

oh PALEESE....I assume you 2 are both watching the game, and you can honestly say there was any comparison between those 2 plays? Come on guys...sometimes teams get calls, sometimes they don't, but those 2 plays were called correctly.

Toronto Maple Leafs goalie/savior James Reimer didn’t come back for the second period against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night after this bump in front from Brian Gionta in the first period:
Yikes. If you break down the clip, you’ll see Reimer as the very top of his crease as Gionta cuts across. When Gionta makes contact with his back to Reimer’s mask, Reimer is preparing to make a rebound save. It’s a bit of a muddle in front, as Dion Phaneuf makes contact with Gionta too.
Hopefully, Reimer is OK. The Leafs are due to update after the game. (Glenn Healy on Hockey Night In Canada claimed Reimer embellished the play. Seriously.)
If nothing else, this play tonight proved definitively that Brian Gionta can, in fact, deliver a head shot on another NHL player. Provided that player is on his knees at the time.

well dude I was being tongue in cheek, so don't get too wound up here -lol
many of the calls against the Habs I thought were fine, the too many men, the high sticking call were obvious. But that call on Gionta was complete bullshit, he's not in the crease, he gets shoved and he does everything he can to avoid contact, brutal call. On the other end Price gets run and no call but then gets dinged for a little retaliatory love tap on Kadri. If anything they shoulda called em both or neither

and they wind up getting the win...just awful...3 of the Leafs goals were a direct result of blown calls by the officials, the tying goal one was obviously outta bounds, this pisses me off more than anything in the world because this was otherwise a great game, very hard fought, good emotion, great plays on both sides so to see it decided by a shit call like this is just depressing

According to Ron Wilson, Reimer will be OK. If not, the Leafs are in trouble.

Hope he's not out too long. Does Wilson have a history of just saying whatever?
