I have recently taken over a team in a 12 team dynasty league and have decided to blow the team up and rebuild it. The team is decent, but not good enough to win. Plus I did not draft it so I am eager to put my stamp on it.

There is an 8 player minor league and my players are somewhat lacking, so I am looking at going young.

Hell no! Tavares alone and I wouldn't do it.
At first glance looking at your team it doesn't look like a team that can't contend. Your weak on the right wing...trade Thornton or spezza for some wing help...

I would say no.. you giving up the best now player (arguably) in Thornton, and then, by far, the best up and comer in Taveres. It`s not a bad offer by any means, but it`s a case of quantity over the top quality you`re giving up. Tavares has looked fantastic, and Schwartz looks like a great prospect. I wouldn`t call you crazy to do it as both Stewart and JVR are great players, but I like what you have already.

It feels right because you`re moving Thornton to go younger, but you`re giving up Tavares who is a stud to own, and at the perfect age you need. Try moving just thornton for a couple of those pieces... see if you can get JVR and something.

Gotta tell him you`re just not interested in that. Defeats the purpose of what you`re trying to do if you move Tavares. Buddy has to come to that conclusion.

If youre looking to rebuild then tavares is a must keep. Id say Ryan as well.youve got some great pieces in thorton, spezza and st lous to help move it along quicker. Id start with those guys who still hold solid value.and will fetch nice return and go from there.

That is what I am trying to do, but I am not getting many takers as of yet. I will have to be patient it appears. Thanks for all the great advice it is very much appreciated.
