Help Assess my Team! Do I have a Contender?
Brand new team- ready to make some moves. Some insight would be nice as I havent done a roto league in awhile:
C- Stamkos, Ott, Anisimov, Read, (W), Mueller (W), Zajac (ir)
W- St. Louis, Gaborick, Semin, Williams, Sellanne, Gagne, J Jokinen, Wolski
D- Weber, Phaneuf, Pronger, Souray, Erhoff
G- Rinne, Kipper, Roloson
Cats are:
G, A, P, PPP, Pim, +/-, GWG
W, L, GA, SV %, SO
Daily changes, we start:
2C, 4W, 4D, 2U, 2G
My first move was dropping Shannon for Read- no brainer?
Who goes next? Where do I need help? Is this a contender?
Not a huge fan of Anisimov (C) or Wolski (W)

I also put out an offer of Souray for hemsky so far.
Although I think this team needs grit and that may be going backwards. Is Clarkson a good add in this regard? Kennedy?

I kind of like Anisimov, but I personally would drop Wolski for either Peverly or S.Kostitsyn. I think both will score more points. Both play on better teams so +/- should be good and Kostitsyn pim"s have been decent in the past (not last year think he had like 25 or something). Wolski is a Lady Bing winner in the making.

i would look into maybe dropping wolski for clarkson. to me it looks like your toughest category is gonna be PIM. you have a good d for PIM and ott but other than that you dont have a lot of help. another guy that i think would be a borderline keeper would be mueller. i think that maybe you could work a trade out with a team that is willing to be a little bit more patient.
how many teams are in your league??
i think your goalies are pretty solid, as much as i hate kipper, he is usually pretty good in this format. His SV% did dip a little bit last year but he should still do pretty good. i really like your d as well. i think your top 4 are solid and souray could be a huge sleeper this year if he doesnt get injured.
without knowing how many teams are in your league, ur team looks not bad, im assuming its around a 12 team league. i think with a couple trades throughout the year your team could really take off
