andrei markov for stephan elliot

got this offer in the 2nd team in my sig. I have IR slots open, so this would allow me to add another player while markov heals.

As you can tell i have a young D core to start with. I do need a 5th D that i can rotate in with daily roster moves i get virtually all of the starts a 5th D.

guys i could add (since it is still a big part of this trade) would be niskanen, sekera, del zotto, jonathan ericsson, goncharev, and a lot of less interesting D players. There are a few interesting wingers too.

is this a good move or should i hold onto elliot

I think your D is set up in a way that you can take this risk. I would make the trade and grab Niskanen, who could see a bump in production on a high powered Pittsburgh offence. The beauty of it is that you can just swap him out with the hot hand if he doesn't pan out.

if you grab a guy do you lose him when markov comes back? if so id probably stick with elliot.

yeah i would lose whomever i add when markov gets back, that is why i would look into a guy like niskanen over goncharev.

as a note this all started a the end of last season with purcell as a keeper. i added gragnani via dispersal draft then traded those 2 for elliot and berglund. so in the end this would become purcell and a late dispersal pick for markov and berglund. we keep everyone and have no farm so the dispersal draft normally only goes about 20 players deep, and i think i nabbed gragnani 14th, but i had elliot on my board at the same teir.
