    Default Damn it!!!!

I was really hoping for Jokinen to be on either Stahl (prefered) or Skinner's line... man he never catches a break.

Doesn't spread the 'O' out much with Skinner on Stahl's line.

Possibly not, as Eric Staal is brutal at face-offs, wouldn't be surprised to see Ruutu take some of the draws for that line.

How is Staal brutal on Face-offs? He was 4th in the league last year in face-off wins!

That's cause he took the most out of everyone in the league. He had 100 more than the next faceoff taker.

He only won 48% of the faceoffs he participated in (which tied him with Gomez for 67th in the league in that department), which makes him not that good...

Put it this way if Steckel took as many faceoffs as Staal did last year, he would have had won 251 more faceoffs than Staal would have...

Brutal was the wrong word, went too far. He is just not very good at them. And if you want to talk about only totals without percentage I point out that he lost 911 faceoffs last season, 122 more than Plekanec, who lost the second most.

Fair enough, but do you count losses or do you count wins?

Oh, so we're talking about Staal's face-off wins in this thread? I thought we were talking about how Ruutu's face-off wins were potentially affected by being on a line with Staal. Silly me.
