Getz + Doughty for Kane + Green + 1st

I declined yesterday an offer where I would give Getzlaf to get Kane and a 1st round pick. The GM comes back with this :

Getzlaf + Doughty

for

P. Kane + Green + 1st

I think Green is an upgrade over Doughty. But would you do this trade ? Do you think Green will be better than Doughty short and long term ? If Green gets back to 70+ points, it's a deal to do. But if he gets injured or only gets below 50 points... not so interesting.

I'm not sure what the first would get you but based on the cats you provided I would hold off. Getz is a better fantasy option right now than Kane and while Green is potentially the better fantasy option I doubt he will ever get back to 70+ points (60+ points yes) because Boudreau has changed the system they play in to a more defensive oriented system.

I would personally say no.

I am also leaning towards a no. I am guessing the 1st is a 1st in thE non keepers. I like your roster no need to lose your top center for a rw here. Usually wingers are better but not when it would weaken your centers too much. Plus getzlaf probably gets more pims and hits than kane

Green doesn't come up often in trade talks and I had to look at it seriously.

Hits is a new category this season in our league and players with a lot of it are in serious demand. Getzlaf is one of the best in this cat and pretty much the only C with that much hits.

I like my team. I'll give it a try ! :-)
