Makarov, a Chicago draft, has been identified as a potential Calder candidate when he comes to the NHL. Berglund, a St. Louis draft, has been compared to Sundin and potentially the best player outside of the NHL for next year.
Regardless of the \'non agreement\' issue which player would you rather own?
it depends how much merit you put into the transfer agreement. If you are unsure take Berglund can\'t go wrong there. I own both in my pool and for me Berglund would be more expensive to trade because St. Louis got a steal here. Berglund will have a quicker fantasy return for your squad.
I don\'t buy Makarov as a Calder candidate. IM didn\'t even make Russia\'s U20 team in 2006, and he\'s not much of a physical presence. Don\'t get me wrong - great prospect... just not Calder-likely in my opinion.
