Default Little help for a keeper/auction roto league please.

I have several decisions to make.
11-team Keeper, auction league (can keep 12, no more than one goaltender).
    Rotisserie
$55.00 cap that only applies at the draft.
    13F (any position), 6D, 2G
    Categories: G, A, +/-, PIM, Specialty Goals (1PPG+2SHG), Goalie Points (2 win+1 ShootOut/OT loss+2 shutout).

    Keeping:
    Krejci $1.50
Carter $4.50 (for two more years)
Backes $5.00 (for two more years)
    Kessel $4.75
    Tavares $2.75
    Giroux $0.75
    J Neal $0.75
    Downie $2.50
    Byfuglien $ 2.00
    J Quick $1.50
(that’s $29.00 out of $55.00 I have available to spend)

I CAN keep two more players.
Among those I’m tossing back, but considering:

    Eberle 3.00
    Karlsson 1.75
    Carkner 0.75
    Subban 3.25
    Halak 2.50

Lots of top talent available at this draft: Crosby, Ovechkin, DSedin, Parise, Thorton, Spezza, Kovalchuk, E Staal, J Staal, Stasny – but lots of teams going in with lots of money too.

Three questions, if anyone has any advice:
    1. Do I keep any of the players I’m throwing back, or switch Quick for Halak?

    2. Anyone have any ideas on what to project how much to pay for any particular player? I’d probably just be using the projections from Dobber’s Guide (which, if you’re on the fence, you should get – it’s miles ahead of the news rack guides).

    3. At the end of the 2nd year, a decision must be made as to how long you want to keep a player:

Eligible players this year are (the price doesn’t change this year)

Kessel: 4.75 this coming year, 6.00 for one year, 7.25 for two years, 8.50 for three years.
    Tavares: 2.75, 4.00, 5.25, 6.50
    Giroux/Neal: 0.75, 2.00, 3.25, 4.50
    Downie/Halak: 2.50, 3.75, 5.00, 6.50

Just a note: The price doesn’t increase every year – if you sign a player for three years, you pay the three-year salary every year you own him – If I sign Kessel for three years, I pay 4.75, 8.50, 8.50, 8.50.

    Thanks in advance…

    Too much for one post?
Should I split the questions up?

Pretty complicated for me with auction based players. But will give it a try:

    1. I would certainly be keeping Karlsson and seems to be good price. I personally like Halak here, although Quick is good and at that price, my only worry is Bernier lurking.

    2. Very tough, I would target goal scores as they seem to be favored in this set up.

    3. I would find a way to keep Tavares, Giroux and neal. Not sure I would pay the price for downie.
    Team 1:
    10 Team Keeper, keep 16.
    Cat: +/-, PIMs, G, A, Pts, STG (PPG+SHG), GAA, SPct, W
    Roto, No Max games, weekly lineups - 12F, 6D, 4G - 6 bench

F: Benn, Bennett, Crosby, Hughes, Keller, Kopitar, Lindolm, Perron, Schmalts, Stephenson, Tavares, Thompson
    Bench - Lafreniere, Roslovic, Schenn

D: Chabot, Dahlin, Josi, Hronek, Morrissey, Schenn
    Bench - Sandin

G: F. Copley, Gustavsson, Skinner, Sorokin
    Bench: Merzlikins, Petersen, Andersen (IR)

    Thank you for the response.

I'm thinking (as far as contracts)

Downie: leaning towards letting him walk after this year. Slight chance of giving one extra year.
Kessel: for one year after this one.
    Neal: two years.
    Tavares and Giroux: The max.
