Default Canadians not eligible for prizes in yahoo ???

I've been playing fantasy hockey on yahoo in free leagues for many years now. This year, i told myself i would try and challenge in a pro league on yahoo... 20$.. can win 125 $

The problem is when i read the rules... it says Canadians are not eligible to win prizes !!!

    I live in Quebec, Canada.

Am i missing something here ?

    Thanks !

It may be because you live in Quebec. You guys have a couple different laws than the rest of Canada, and I know that for a lot of contests that corporations put on for promotion often say something along the lines of "not eligible in Quebec". Not sure if this is the case, but it may be.

It does not specify Quebec ... just "residants of Canada". So i was wondering... all players of the pro game are americans ???

I have no clue then. It seems kind of silly, and the only thing I can think of would be because of the money conversion. But in times like today, converting money between American and Canadian is not very difficult. So perhaps our gambling laws are more strict...? It is technically a form of gambling.
