Ehrhoff. I do like Kronwall this year with Rafalski retiring and think that he'd be more in line to take his spot on the top PP unit with Lidstrom, ahead of I. White. However, Ehrhoff is pure offense and with his contract he is guaranteed top run to PP in Buffalo. He's probably a better rushing defenseman as well. I'd say they have the same potential for this year points-wise (Kronwall did get 50pts a few years back) but Ehrhoff is a safer bet to reach that potential. I'd imagine their +/- will be similar as well.

Ehrhoff, White has already been selected by Mike Babcock as Lidstrom's linemate. I would have taken Ehrhoff even if Kronwall was on the top line, I don't think he has as much offensive upside as Ehrhoff. He's more of a 40 point, stay at home dman.

Wings GM Ken Holland was interviewed during the prospects game last night and said the Wings are going to rely HEAVILY on Nick Kronwall, especially to replace Rafalski on the top PP unit. I don't know boys - Kronwall could have a MONSTER year.

I'd take the reliably for Ehrhoff. He is getting paid the ridiculous dollars so he definitely needs to live up to that.

Kronwall will be the go to guy in Detriot but I dont like his injury proness

I expect both to have a pretty similar year but Ehroff's numbers are just slightly more guaranteed and without the injury risk

    I agree with this.
    Ehrhoff is entering his prime.
I wouldn't think twice about it.

I like Ehrhoff here. He'll be the top guy in Buffalo for points.

All Kronwall has ever needed was first pp minutes. He doesn't need to be on Lidstrom's line to get points. He just needs the 1st pp. I think Kronwall in a cake walk. Ehrhoff played on a much more talented Vancouver team and he didn't put up crazy points. This is the year for Kronwall to shine.
