So by buying Robidas out I can now safely target 3 new D and a forward. Possibly 4 D depending on the quality of forwards left at the end. I should walk away with a few good young guys.

Just going to add that it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Weber traded as well, I read in a thread somewhere that out of all the players to ever go to arbitration only one remained with their team after the assigned contract was up. Not a great percentage if you ask me!

Weber won't be in Nashville much longer. He's out of there in 2 years max (when his RFA contracts run out).

Can't blame him and maybe this is the reason that Suter rumours have popped up as well. Does Ryan Suter want to stick around in Nashville if their best player (Weber) doesn't plan on staying?

Nashville desperately needs to add some forwards to show these stars (Weber, Suter, Rinne) that the organization is serious about winning (I feel like I've been saying this for years).

My patience is running thin so I'd imagine some of the players' is as well.

Anyone have links / other info?
All of these guys have a shot. The sure things are Elliott and Rundblad. Smith and Larsson could make their respective NHL teams, but the jury is still out on whether they need more seasoning or if they're ready to go. As a Red Wings fan I've heard many reports that Smith should make the team. Larsson has NHL size so he could very well make the Devils as well.

I think you are a little off here Mac. Elliott is NOT a sure thing.

Rundblad and Larsson would be the closest to the "sure things" IMO

I guess we'll see then, if he doesn't make the team right away he should get called up sooner or later. Rundblad and Larsson are definitely the most "NHL ready" of the bunch, I agree with that.

Just out of curiosity, do you see any young D (other than these guys) surprising people and making their respective NHL teams?

    So I ended signing:

    Fowler 1.9 mil / 4 years
    Drew Stafford 0.5 mil / 2 years
    Ian white 1.2 mil / 1 year
    Rundblad 0.5 / 4 years

Nominated stafford with the assumption someone else would bid him up. Didn't expect to end up with him at league min - but I'll take it. Should have signed him to 4 years. Was hoping to grab S. Elliot instead. Still, ended up with 3/4 guys I wanted so I'm happy.

I like all of those signings, you got Stafford and Rundblad very cheap.

Not sure if he's a surprise, but I see Roman Josi making the Preds and having a decent impact right off the bat.

Yeah I was thinking that he would make it as well.
