Lidstrom - Best D-Man in the NHL
I gotta say, this guy is my favorite player. I live in NJ and I love the Devils, but I sport the Lidstrom jersey a few times a month. What an amazing night tonight 1G,2A,1SHP,1GWG,1PPG,+3,2PIM. He got me so much for my league. Do you guys think he can reach the 80pt mark this season? I see him breaking 70 personally. I think he may even break +50 for the +/- category.

80 might be a little over. 70 is definitely a strong possibility with that firepower around him, but i dont think i see him as point-per-game defenseman this year. He\'s only hit the 80 point plateau once in his career and that was right after the lockout.

Lidstrom is about as perfect you can get from a defenseman.
He is never in the wrong position.
He always makes the right pass.
He has played almost every game the last 16 years.
He has never finished less than +7 and has finished +36 or better four times.
Should top 70 points and 74 points would be his second bst offensive season ever.
Should have his best career +/- season and +50 or better is well within reach since he is already a +37
Probably on his way to his 6th Norris, breaking a tie with the immortal Ray Bourque for third all-time.
Finest Euro defenseman ever and first Euro to ever win the Conn Smythe Trophy.
