Well I love roto and am thoroughly enjoying this league. I do think the league set up is a deterrent to trading though - where guys can meet other guys needs to get their own met. The rosters are pretty deep - I think 3 at each foward position, 5 D and a slightly shorter bench would mean more attempts to solve problems in one's lineup - as it stands, we are dependent on the luck of the draft and the waiver wire.
I got a tremendously astute offer from Leo (Perrynormal), that I turned down because it didn't really fix anything on my team - but with smaller rosters I think it was doable as a win-win.
One of the things that I think has muddied the waters for this league is the incredible number of dual eligible players in Yahoo this year - perhaps even more than the roster thoughts I have. It's hard to get starved at a position like has happened in the past. I have 10 guys that are multipositional - how am I ever going to get stuck on needing a forward position player?
However, I think things are starting to get down to category needs to be competitive and trades likely will pick up in January.
I keep waiting for Teemu and Brandon to make a mistake - they haven't yet - damn their eyes.

I was looking at a few days where you had a fair number of skaters going and they came up pretty dry for you - pretty easy to fall with no production - the bright side is when you fall it means you aren't far off the numbers of the guy ahead of you in a cat, so it can come back just as easy.

Speaking of trades - another one just went down. Not too many so far but could see that increase as you suggested, Shoeless, when category needs start becoming even more of an issue.
Still a long way to go and a lot of teams still in the hunt. We are still seeing a few big jumps/drops recently, so plenty of movement likely to continue for awhile.
Kevin, I've seen and used it before. I agree, it's pretty cool and quite a valuable piece of information that may or may not be used as regularly. It could be especially valuable as the season winds down.

Trade Analysis
With Duchene and Backstrom getting injured since I sent Sedin to "A Twin Killing", I thought I would make myself feel worse by analyzing this trade. To my surprise, I actually feel better about it considering I came out on top in 5 of our 9 cats with five fewer games played. If Backstrom comes back after the all-star break, maybe I still salvage this trade outcome.

I was really shocked to see how poorly Sedin has done on the PP lately.
Anyway Mac, I know that given the injuries, you are probably stoked you made this trade, and in the long run you may be right, but if Backstrom and Duchene come back you may end up on the short end of the stick here.
