    Default Gagner or Setoguchi/Filatov/Paajarvi

Hey guys... Cats and league in sig. Just pulled the trigger on 2 deals (thanks to your help), sending Oshie for the 3rd overall and Markov for the 4th overall on draft day. My keepers now look like this.

    Malkin Parise Heatley
    Getzlaf Kessel Mueller
    Seto Paajarvi
    Filatov
    Green Enstrom
EJ Markov (traded at draft for shattenkirk)
    Karlsson

    Vokoun
    Rask

I was wondering if I should trade for Gagner? I'd get him cheap and he'd be a nice 3rd line C for me. Then I'd just have to draft a good 4th line and depth.

I would have to let one of my wingers go though. Should I drop one of mueller, seto, filatov or paajarvi and make the move for Gagner? What say you? Thanks again!

Do NOT move Paajarvi or Seto for Gagner.... dont even consider it. Filatov maybe but it depends on how you view both players... If i were you i might keep Filatov as i am very curious too see how he does in Ottawa. Prediction....Not well, but he may prove me wrong.

The safe play is to move Mueller and put Gagner in his spot.

Honestly thats not my style at all.

I'd shoot for the fences and keep the 4 guys with the most upside.

    Gagner, Mueller, Filitov, and Paajarvi.

Let Setoguchi go. He isnt in the same class in terms of upside as the rest.

id keep all those guys over gagner.

mps will shine as soon as he is given the ice time

setoguchi should do well with more offensive minutes in minnisota

filatov...boom or bust, could explode with spezza, or flop to the KHL. id take that risk over gagner

mueller...boom or bust, except his health is the question. if he's healthy, he will outproduce gagner, if not then obviously he wont. if you want to play it safe, take gagner, if you want to have the big risk/big reward, take mueller.

After watching Filatov the past couple seasons I would gladly drop him for Gagner. Gagner's upside is admittedly lower but he's MUCH more likely to at least be fantasy relevant. Filatov's hockey IQ and compete level don't come anywhere near his physical talent. I dont believe he'll fare much better in Ottawa (or anywhere else).
