That's pretty hard to predict, but I'm thinking we see Robert Thomas firmly in their top-six by the end of the season. I'll take a stab:
Schwartz-Schenn-Tarasenko
Perron-ROR-Thomas
Steen-Bozak-Kyrou
Sanford-Barbashev-Sundqvist
Blais
I could easily see Blais/Sanford shifting down in the lineup while Rob Thomas makes a smooth ascent into the top-six. Kyrou seems like a decent option to replace Thomas on that third line with Bozak with his speed and skill. I think Barbashev and Sundqvist have shown enough to be bottom-six staples, and I think it's going to come at the expense of ice time for guys like Blais and Sanford. The thing about Alex Steen is that he still makes $5.75 million aav for two more seasons, so unless they can get rid of him he's going to get ice time. Despite his decline as a player, I think Bozak and Kyrou would be interesting linemates for Steen because he still brings an element of defensive responsibility to his game even with his scoring falling off a cliff.
All things considered that's a really good looking lineup. Something tells me that Thomas and O'Reilly would be an absolutely dominant duo at 5v5, which would pretty much let them use their two best wingers with Schenn and really spread the talent throughout the lineup. Kyrou and Bozak on the third line could provide some really interesting scoring depth, and you can certainly do a lot worse than guys like Barbashev and Sundqvist on your 4th line.

I could see him on that LW3 spot instead of Steen, which would relegate the latter to a more realistic spot on the fourth line. The problem is he's probably going to be hurt at some point, and with so many injuries during crucial development time when he should be learning the NHL game and getting acclimated to everything, I have a hard time really projecting what he is at this point. It's a rough situation for him.

St Louis is still 19/1 to win the Cup. Florida has better odds than them right now.
Great value.
I think mostly... that value reflects that they'll finish 2/3... which means they have to:
i) Play either VGK or COL in divisional semis,
ii) Likely play the #1 seed (either VGK or COL) in divisional final,
iii) Likely the highest overall seed (assuming STL is a lowest)...
iv) Into the Stanley Cup.
It's pretty much the hardest path there is, this year.
I wouldn't bet them.
Oh ya I get it. Just surprising when you could also think Florida has to play 2 of Tampa Carolina and Dallas. And also is Florida haha. Not the Champ from 2 years ago.
Blues are finally back in action tonight.
What is up with T.Krug?? For the sake of my fantasy team, I wish he never left Boston..
