According to the AHL transactions wire, NYI prospect Bode Wilde has been assigned to Bridgeport.
he's a pretty thick kid and wasnt afraid to make a few hits near the boards yesterday and during the one pre-season game I caught so I'd suggest he might have that peripheral in him .
no idea how well his shooting accuracy translates to nhl goalies but trotz loves the guy and will deploy him often if he ends up sticking around after eberle returns .

if wahlstrom plays today his entry level deal kicks in (game 10) so thats interesting to keep an eye on .
Eberle might be back so they could send Oliver back down so that he stays on his entry level slide ; at least for now .
I could see them giving Otto Koivula his debut game as well before Eberle comes back. I think he has literally been sent down and called back up every other day this week.
Nope
#Isles Transactions: Oliver Wahlstrom has been returned on loan to Bridgeport. Jordan Eberle has been activated from the team’s IR list.

Today has become one of the best days of my life. To have my number retired is beyond expression and belief. The response from fans and friends as well as family is overwhelming.February can not come fast enough. Thanks to everyone for the kind words
John Tonelli is also getting his #27 retired as well .
keep an eye on Bellows ; he's been filling the net lately in the AHL .
probably fair to say he's been dropped in some leagues . I had my finger on the drop button a few times but resisted mainly because i'm an isles homer hah .
pelech isnt a sexy d-man but man , he's the straw that stirs the isles D core . Huge loss .
Ho-Sang loaned to the Blues AHL farm team or should I say Vegas farm team (no idea for certain)
Ho-Sang was re-assigned to San Antonio of the AHL on Friday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Analysis:This would seem to be the Islanders' way of saying, out of sight, out of mind. If the team had any plans to call him up this season, they wouldn't have sent him so far away from Long Island. One might also believe that the Isles weren't able to trade Ho-Sang at the deadline and that also led to this move. The Islanders and Ho-Sang seem to both need a change of scenery.
Ho-Sang will have grandchildren and he'll still be a member of the Islanders somehow

looking back , Snow drafted Sorokin and Devon Toews in the 2014 draft with later picks but struck out with dal colle , ho-sang . If they can get Sorokin to cross the pond it could salvage that 2014 draft in a big way .
thankfully , the 2 second rounders snow traded to TB in order to move up to draft Ho-Sang havent turned into anything special
