The Kings will go with the lines they used in practice, and there will also be tweaks to the power play, with Slava Voynov joining Drew Doughty on the blue line on the first unit. Jonathan Quick will start in goal. More notes and quotes to come, including Terry Murray’s thoughts on whether “hot seat” reports make it more difficult for a coach to do his job.

Source confirms to me as well that Kings have officially sought permission from Flames to speak with Darryl Sutter

John Stevens said that all available players will go into the pregame warmups tonight, and then he will decide the lineup, but Stevens also said not to expect "wholesale changes." Stevens said, in regards to the team's response to Terry Murray’s firing, that tonight’s game would be "less about the Xs and Os and more about the guts of the game."

Stevens and Jamie Kompon will be behind the bench but will have to shuffle duties a bit. Stevens will handle the forwards and Kompon will handle defensemen. More notes and quotes to come, including player reaction to Murray’s firing.

Thanks for catching that WC17, I was just getting ready to post the Kings Insider update.

Voynov did have a few turnovers in his own end against the Bruins.

Problem is, if they decided to scratch everyone playing like crap, there wouldn't be enough room in the press box.

I am not optimistic about their chances with Sutter behind the bench. Things mighgt stabilize for a bit, but I don't see him taking them any further in the playoffs than Murray would have

I'm with you Dyz. Pierre from ESPN thinks he'll get it, but I'm not sure I think that's good. These people argue that he's a better coach than GM. Well, I'm not confident of either. As a Sharks fan, I wasn't impressed with his time there.

I don't think this team needs another D-first attitude. They need high octane (Washington 2 seasons ago)

He definitely is a better coach then GM, but damn, I can't think of many guys who did more damage to their team in recent years than him and Millbury. So that may not be saying much.

LAK have a young core and will only get younger if/when guys like Scuderi, Stoll, etc. depart. They need a more dynamic coach.

Also, from what I understood the hold up is in regard to negotiating with the Flames in regards to the remainder of his contract.
