What 4 do I protect?

Hey all,
So, we are expanding 2 teams this year, and I can lose 2 defensemen, which 4 do I protect?

Hillen - 600k
Chara 7.8m
Gunnarsson - 600k
Burns - 3.8m
weber - 4.5m
bergeron - 1m
gologoski - 1.2m

So, I know that off the bat, Chara looks easy, but, her is 7.8m and he is in auction, which means that players can bid on him, and I have the choice to match or not. If I do lose him, I can still try to put an monetary offer on him, maybe an additional million to see if the owner matches.

I think I have 3 for sure:
Burns (offersheet)
Weber (offersheet)
Goligoski (on contract)

I can't decide on my last one. Do I protect, bergeron who just signed in TB, or Hillen or Gunnarsson who are cheap and should have better yeras.

I can only hope that the new GMs perhaps don't really know of Hillen or care to pick Gunnarsson..

Any thoughts would be great.

Chara is not worth it at 8 mill and Hillen I would take over Gunnarson so let go of Chara and Gunnarson

You would protect Hillen over Bergeron as well?

I would be wary of Bergeron. Yes, Tampa did sign him to a 2 year, 1 way deal, but it was for short money, so it is quite possible that he will be a frequent healthy scratch, which can get frustrating when you're trying to set a lineup. Perhaps more frustrating is that although Bergeron will give you a 3 point night here and there, those nights usually will be followed by something like zero points and -4. There's also the issue of his health - he's prone to getting injured. Honestly, he's not worth the headaches and uncertainty.
