Little has look great. He was easily the player of the game the other night against Nashville. That line of Ladd-Little-Wheeler just looks great.

A lot of people forgot about Little because of his down years after the 30 goal season.

How has Meech looked? He's an old neighbor and I'm really hoping he can stick!

Yeah, Little has looked great. I hadn't seen him play much before, beyond highlights. I've now watched him in each pre-season game he's played, and I'm super impressed. Very fast, shifty and creative. He makes things happen offensively. That line of Ladd/Little/Wheeler has a great mix of size, skill, speed and creativity. They really do compliment each other well out there.

STONE, I think Meech has looked great. He's another guy that I hadn't seen play much before, but I've been really impressed with his play in the pre-season. I wasn't aware of how solid he was offensively. He looked pretty good slotted on PP2. I don't know if there will ever be room for him there, but he looks comfortable on the powerplay. He also seems comfortable jumping up into the play every now and then. He's got a poise that comes with experience, so I sure wouldn't mind if he made the team.

There's been talk of the Jets rolling with 8 defensemen, and if that's the case I think Meech has a shot at cracking the team. He certainly wouldn't hurt them when he's out there. Speculation has been that the Jets may give Postma one more year in the AHL, as he's got one more year on a two way contract, and that would help Meech's odds greatly. Once Postma comes up he'll surely have PP2 locked down with Bogosian.

Postma and Gregoire have been sent to St. John's (Chevy mentions that they're both a part of the Jets' future). Pesonen is released. Article mentions that Meech is also capable of playing wing.

I cannot wait for Hainsey to go... he and his overpaid cap hit are taking up the spot of an up and comer in Postma.

Yeah, that contract is ridiculous. Can't wait to see Postma on the team.

I'm down to deciding on either a Kane jersey or a Scheifele jersey...

Big vote of confidence from coach Noel for Scheifele, stating that he would be stunned if the kid didn't stick with the team all season:

Also, Stone, Meech has earned a spot on the roster.

I posted this elsewhere but what is the status of Kenndal McArdle? It's kinda important for one of my position leagues were I am struggling to find a legal lineup.

Eric, all that there was about McArdle was this: "...a list of four forwards who are injured -- Aaron Gagnon, Kenndal McArdle, Ben Maxwell and Eric Fehr -- any or all of whom could start the season on the long-term injury reserve list."

Not much for you to go on. Here's that article (speaking to the status of the final roster and cuts): http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/spo...131035018.html

Thanks. I like McArdle as a young roto player but this news leads to me stashing him on the farm for the season. I hate how in several cases there has been no news about a given player and suddenly he's being stashed on IR. Makes fantasy lineups tough to manage in deep leagues...

I'm glad Scheifele will start the season with the club. I hope they have him center the second line with Kane on the left.

I read somewhere that Kane Scheifele Wellwood would make up the second line. I'm guessing Wellwood will take the defensive faceoffs while Scheifs gets to work on improving on that in the offensive and neutral zone. I'm interested to see how a proposed Cormier Burmistrov Antropov third line will do.

This is going to change now that the Jets claimed Brett Maclean off waivers.
