    Lundqvist
    Luongo
    ------------
    Price
    Halak
    Quick
    Bryzgalov
    Miller
    Vokoun
    Rinne
    Niemi
    Hiller
    ------------
    Crawford
    Neuvirth
    Schneider
    Bernier
    Rask
    Pavelec
    Howard
    Lehtonen

...something like this based on those 3 tiers is what I think of the goalie situations. Each tier is basically equal to me short-term and unranked, but with slight advantage going to options on better clubs vs. options on weaker clubs.

Wow - Thomas not even in your top 19?

Fleury is getting no love whatsoever. I know most people around here think he is overrated but is is still only 26 and he was 7th in Wins, 7th in GAA, and 12th in SVP among goalies that played at least 30 games. Thats without Malkin and Crosby for half the year, and yes I think that has an impact on the teams defence cause if the other team is working hard trying to stop Malkin and Crosby they cant be as offensively minded. Not saying he should be top three but top 10 for sure because of job security.

Spoken like a Fleury owner ;/

Seriously - I think you've identified a a phenomenon here: Fleury was spoken of as elite for a bit, and now the backlash has over-corrected. He's about right for #8-11 with these cats. But given the lack of love for him, I'd look to go into a draft hoping to find him with the #11-15 echelon.

For 4 and 5, I think that Thomas belongs. In 2 of the last 3 seasons he's put up Hasek-like numbers. Yes, Rask is the anointed one in Boston and Thomas is getting older, but until he shows signs of skill erosion (I'd argue that two seasons ago doesn't count as it was later revealed that he was playing hurt before losing the job to Rask, yet still put up pretty decent stats) he certainly belongs in this list.

For the other remaining spot I think a viable case could be made for each of Bryzgalov, Fleury, Rinne, or even Quick. I'd omit Price for now, but if he has another season like this past one, he leapfrogs all these guys.
So you think Price is the riskiest at this point in his career? I agree a bit as well, he could turn out to be gold but the body of work isn't there yet???? However I do think he's gotten past all that question mark stuff from a season ago. I think he's on his way...with a bit of caution though.

Top 3 has to be Luongo, Rinne and Lundqvist.

I dug this thread up, 7 months later have opinions changed? I saw a lot of Bryzgalov's and Luongos at the top but I doubt that will be the same. Miller has had to drop down?? Funny how inconsitent goalies can be.

    My top 5:
    1) The king
    2) Rinne
    3) Quick
    4) Howard
    5) Fluery / Price

Don't be to quick to leave Luongo off that list. He still is only 32 and is the Canucks goalie for the foreseeable future. Flower and Howard are still goalies that follow the pace of the team their on. The list hasn't changed that much.

    Lundqvist
    Rinne
    Quick
    Luongo
    Price
    Howard/Flower

Given the struggles of bryz...recent surge of hiller and expected performance if fleury...how would you rank these three across all tenders...and in comparison with each other?

In a keeper league you want someone who you know will keep starting... Ward is not glamourous but i would still put him on here. I would go with the golden boys first

Louongo, price, fluery, ward, lundy, and rinne.

quick is very good, but i fear bernier could become the golden boy at some point in the next few years, same with howard. Rask and Schneider should be in the conversation, but more longer term since neither is a starter yet.

My ranking would be like that
    1-Lundquist
    2-Rinne
    3-Miller
    4-Luongo
    5-Price
    6-Howard, Fleury, Quick, Ward.

That is 9 goalies who should be in the 10 for the next 2-3 years.

I agree somewhat with this list. It's funny how quick Miller has dropped in everyone's eyes just because of this season.

Here's my take over the next 2 to 3 seasons:
    1. Lundy
    2. Rinne
    3. Quick
    4. Miller
    5. Luongo

Honourable Mentions: Price (could be in top 5 if MTL wasn't garbage), Fleury, Howard, Ward
