Owen Sound vs. Kootenay Elimination Tiebreak game is just about to get underway

Televised on Rogers Sportsnet (Canada) and also US NHL Network (Stateside)

Owen Sound is without their top two players - Garrett Wilson (captain) and Joey Hishon (COL prospect).

Plus, Owen Sound's Head Coach Mark Reeds is making a bold decision and going with Stajcer in net instead of Binnington (who has been sensational throughout the tournament and had already shutout Kootenay earlier in the Tournament)

    Just a heads up.

Mark Reeds' decision to start Stajcer instead of the hottest goalie in the Memorial Cup (Binnington) was a collosal failure as Kootenay defeated the Attack 7-3. Cody Eakin (WAS prospect) and Matt Fraser (DAL signee) led the way with 2goals and 1 assist each.

I have no idea what Reeds' reasoning is to switch to Stajcer after Binnington played so well (he will probably be named top goaltender of the Memorial Cup). Bad, bad, bad decision. Playing your best players in a must-win game is a no brainer and especially so when your two top forwards are out of the lineup with injuries (Hishon and Wilson)

    Semi-Final Game:
    Kootenay versus Mississauga - Friday @ 7pm

    Memorial Cup Championship Game:
Winner of SF Game vs. Saint John Sea Dogs - Sunday @ 7pm

I hope Saint John wins. It will just further cement Dave Cameron's fate (i.e. NOT being hired by Ottawa).

3-1 Final. Great Tourney. Man Huberdeau will be fun to watch in the NHL next year.

Congratulations to the Saint John Sea Dogs. This team was stacked and extremely fun to watch. It's a shame that more CHL games aren't televised nationally especially in a country like Canada who lives for hockey.

Great year. Huberdeau is as clutch as they come. Shades of Jordan Eberle
