Is the SM-liiga somehow much rougher than the perception is in North America ? It always seems like Granlund is receiving some pretty major hits..and (speaking for myself) it just seems a little over the top for what I've heard of that league.
Could you offer an opinion on whether its a case of him not holding up to a regular season pounding - or is he specifically targeted for the rough stuff ?

It's definitely a more physical league than the SEL but I think Granlund has been targeted because of his star status and the stuff that has happened to him has been kind of freak incidents. Granlund with another 2 point night. He's now played 3 games after he missed that one game and has 5 points in those games. In total he has 12 points in 6 games this season.
