Okay...so I missed out on Penner thanks to my Internet crapping out on me. What about Kostitsyn for Filppula? His icetime has been up and down between 13-17 minutes per game. However, he\'s played 17+ minutes in each of his last two games. He also has 15 points in his last 15 games. Being a Leaf fan, I\'d be hard-pressed to cheer for a Hab to score, but perhaps someone can convince me?

He and the rejuvenated Kovalev have turned themselves into the top line in Montreal. Remember rule one of fantasy hockey: leave team affiliations at the door of the bar on draft day. Or else you start thinking that Hal Gill has a 60 point upside and may still do it.:laugh:

Take him now. He was already sent down once and I dumped him. He was snatched up quickly and the new owner has not looked back.

I like both players but would prefer to own Filppula, mainly because of the supporting cast. Both guys are going to be very good players.

I\'d definitely take A.Kostitsyn over Filppula. Kostitsyn has been very hot of late and that\'s all he needed to get started. He\'s gaining confidence (and ice time) with every game. Go for it.

agree A. Kostitsyn over Fillpula. If not for minor health issues he would have been drafted even higher. he is the real deal and scores some sick goals.

For this year I would take AK by a small margin - Flipper has to contend with Holmstrom returning. AK is just finding stride - he has already shown he belongs in the bigs and he could do some real damage from here on.

I had the same problem yesterday. I\'m also a Leafs fan, but still went with Kostitsyn. S.Kozlov was available too, but AK has been hot lately, getting lots of ice time, and playing with Kovalev.

AK easily. AK is a LW and Flipper is still listed as a C. A good LW is harder to find then a C. I would still take AK if position doesn\'t matter. AK, Kovy and Plek is the new number 1 for Montreal and they have been on fire lately.
