New Dynasty League taking applications...
The "Don't Panic! Fantasy Hockey Dynasty League"is now open for applications.
League Format: Head-to-Head, Rotisserie Category-based, Single Win
Teams: Only real NHL teams may be chosen
Inaugural Draft: Slow Live Online (8 hours between picks maximum), all contracted players are eligible.
Rosters:
Active and Reserve: 3 C, 3 LW, 3 RW, 3 F, 6 D, 1 Enf, 1 G, 5 Bench
Minors: 26 slots (signed prospects)
Junior: Amateur players are tracked on the Message Board
Categories include: G, A, STP&GWG, GHHT (Gordie Howe Hattrick), SOG, Hits, Blocked Shots, GA, TA, FOW, FOL, SA, Save-%, GA, SO, SHO-W

Another thing I put up for Discussion on the League Board:
Rules for RFAs and UFAs (we use NHL Cap Hits for the inaugural Draft, but not the original contract duration. After the Draft, both may go different ways from the real players' contract terms).
Here's the idea:
Divide the players in two categories:
RFAs for players aged 27 or younger on July 1st of the year their contracts expire and UFAs for players older at that time.
UFAs enter the Free Agent pool on July 1st and may be acquired by any team through bidding, with the highest bid becoming the players new salary.
RFAs may have their contract entended by their original team for AT LEAST their real NHL Cap Hit at the time of contract talks (this could be different from the Salary they were signed for in our League), BUT other teams have the option of offering Offer Sheets to the player for MORE than his current NHL Cap Hit. The owning team then may match that offer. If they do not match the offer, they are compensated with Draft Picks, just like in the real NHL.
This process would have to be done on the League Board, but I think it sounds like serious fun... ;D
