Default Dobber\'s 2007 Fantasy Prospect Report

    Finished!

I managed to cram it down to 85 pages - jam-packed with information.

    Details...

Chart - Top 40 Keeper League Prospects. These players have not played a single game in the NHL - strictly points leagues. Defensemen are weighted. My chart and Bugg\'s own Top 40 chart - side by side. The list also INCLUDES the 2007 draft eligible players.

    Here\'s a preview:
    1 Nicklas Backstr C WAS
    2 Jonathan Toews C CHI
    3 Peter Mueller C PHO
    4 Bryan Little C ATL
    5 Erik Johnson D STL
    6 Claude Giroux RW PHI
    7 Pat Kane C \'07

That\'s the top seven on my list. Want the rest? Buy the guide.

    NEXT:
Team-by-team player profiles. Seven to 10 players profiled on each team. How far away are they? What is their upside? Who do they compare to? It\'s all here!!

Here\'s a sample (ranking in brackets):

    Nigel Dawes, LW (88)

There\'s a very good rule to go by when evaluating prospects: if they can score near or at a PPG as a rookie, you have a keeper. Pedigree rarely matters - these players get it. Nigel Dawes is one of them. One of the WHL\'s deadliest goal-scorers of the past ten years, the diminutive winger ripped home 47+ goals THREE straight years, topping out with 50 as a 20-year-old in 2004-05. Drafted long before that in 2003, it\'s been a waiting game for a prospect worth having patience with. Thanks to the new rules, Dawes\' version of blitz-the-net-and-wire-it-home is back in vogue. And not only in junior. After scoring 67 points as an AHL rookie in 2005-06, the 5\'8 left wing put home in 60 in 65 this season. It\'s a total crime the energizing winner isn\'t the NHL yet, but when he gets there, he\'ll be a valuable fantasy player.

Potential: (30-30-60+, 40 PIM), lots of PP points

    NEXT:

    Bugg\'s 2007 Mock Draft.
Notes on the Top 90 players - what their upside is and how far away they are...

    Sample:

    1. Chicago Blackhawks

Who they\'ll take: Patrick Kane, C (London Knights, OHL)
    Height/Weight: 5\'9.5, 160 lbs
    Statline: 58 GP, 62-83-145, 52 PIM

Why they\'ll take him: Because they need him. Kane is American, flashy, fast and will generate plenty of highlight-reel plays.
Where his strengths lie: On the ice, specifically with the puck. Besides elite stickhandling, Kane protects it with Kopitar-esque ease.
What he\'ll do in the NHL: Potentially score 100 points a season, with 30 pounds and 2 inches of growth.
When he\'ll be in the show: He could go next year in limited minutes, but it\'ll be three years before full-time duty is realistic.

    NEXT:

Bugg gives you the next 60 players, plus mini-profiles.

    NEXT:
Another Dobber vs. Bugg chart. Which 2007 draftees do we like for a keeper league? We each count down our top 20.

    NEXT:
We finish off with three more charts - 2007 draftees, offensive upside, 2007 draftees, defensemen, and 2007 draftees - who is closest to the NHL.

I\'m going to help you win your pool. I told ya - now do you believe me?

2 days! I cant wait to get my hands on this. My league is hesitant to go to a full keeper, I was barely able to talk them into 7 keepers, so not sure how much this will help me in my pool (beyond the top 25 prospects or so), but it will be a great read regardless.

Just so you realize the scope of what you\'re getting with the mock draft, that\'s analysis of 150 players. When you combine that with the team-by-time prospect profiles, there are close to 400 kids to read about.

Sit back, think about that. Then throw us your measly $8.95.
