Default Rick Nash... Does he still have it in him?

Since I didn\'t order NHL Center Ice yet, I haven\'t really got to see Columbus play this year. I was wondering if Nash is improving or not. I know he scored the hat trick last week, but other than that I haven\'t seen much production out of him in the last month. I traded Kariya and Langkow for him late last week, in hopes he will give me the goal scoring I need. I\'m not complaining at all, just wondering if I made the right decision. Any thoughts or predictions?

Also, on a side note. If Selanne does return, would it be wise to drop Boyes for him? I am dropping Bertuzzi to bring Gagne back this week. I figure I am pretty solid at LW right now.

    Don\'t worry about Nash.
He\'s still is a franchise player.
3 main reasons for his recent slump:
#1- He\'s playing through some significant injuries (back, hamstring, groin).
#2- He\'s been dealing with recurring tonsil problems that affect his endurance on the ice.
#3- Life for goal scorers is pretty tough when you are not playing with a good playmaking center. So temper your expectations until he gets a better set-up man.
But yes, he still has \"it\"!

Ya, but what out of those three things will change this season? I am not talking keeper league.

Nash will probably be streaky during the second half, as he was during the first half. I would expect Nash\'s 2nd half numbers to be similar to his 1st half, overall... About 20 Goals and 15 Assists.

His injuries are not so severe that he won\'t bounce back within a few weeks. He will not be a dominant fantasy factor this year, but his current slump will end, and he will be plenty productive.

    He scored tonight, FWIW.

I also see him getting close to 40 points in the second half tops.

do not drop Rick Nash under any cercumstances. forget that little drought he had, it\'s a forgotten memory now. Columbus is very hungry to make the playoffs and this is the year they do it, and Rick Nash will be a huge part of that.
