Tough call because I don't really trust either starter in front of these two to stay healthy this year so both will probably get more playing time than they are expecting.
I like Pickard more than Bernier if we are simply talking about the quality of goalies, but I prefer the Ducks to the Avalanche.
Ugh. I think I'd stick with Pickard and hope the new coach can bring in a better system than Roy had in Colorado.

I would roll with Pickard for all the reasons that Axe listed.

Pickard is a threat to steal the show in Colorado. Bernier can fill in if Gibson gets injured but I doubt he outplays him and mooches off his playing time.

Pickard - Colorado will want to win this year and with that I think Varly gets the reins early and often but if he falters Pickard can give the Avs the hot hand, or at least a hot enough hand that they ride him
