id put luongo after halak and bob just because i like the team in front of them better. florida could make the leap as early as next year tho (hell even this year maybe)
I'm looking at goalies for next year I might be able to get of these 5 How would you rank them.
ROTO league CATS are W=1, GAA=1, SV%=0.5
My rank is
Luongo
Bob
Halak
Hiller
Allen (splitting starts loses wins)

One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
bob, luongo, halak, allen, hiller
allen. bob. hiller, halak, lu
Bob
Halak
Allen
Luongo
Hiller
For next year? Easily Allen first
Then:
Bob
Halak
Lu
Hiller
I guess I'm kinda in between.
Love what I'm seeing from Allen and if he can stave off Brodeur during this prolonged Elliott absence, then I think the 60/40 falls in his favor.
so...
Bob
.
Allen
Halak (Behind Allen because Halak quite simply can't play a full season healthy IMO)...but close
Luongo (Very close to Allen and Halak but I'm less confident that floriday will "TAKE OFF"
.
Hiller (cause who the hell knows?)
You guys may be putting too much faith in "youth".
Jake Allen is no golden boy.
His last year's numbers echo his this year's numbers.
2.48 GAA
.906 SV%.
http://espn.go.com/nhl/player/stats/...111/jake-allen
Those are far from incredible.
Brian Elliott has MUCH better stats as a STL goalie.
His worst year as a Blue beats Allen's best year, thus far.
And Elliott is under contract for 2 more years at $2.6m per.
That's a bargain for a guy that has put up a .920+sv% and sub 2.10gaa as a Blue.
They ain't tradin' him... cause there ain't any goalie out there at a lesser price that will give them those stats.
You never know... Elliott could Chris-Osgood this team to a cup.
IMO - there is NO way anybody should be putting Allen over Bobrovsky. (Halak perhaps, I'm not sold yet with NYI rising... but perhaps.)
And one thing to keep in mind... EVERY rising team (STL included) gets to the point where they need to PAY all the guys that got them there.
STL's gonna have to shell out for Tarasenko this summer.
Next summer... mercy... Backes AND Schwartz AND Lehtera. Dolla-dolla-billz-y'all.
WOW looking at luongo's numbers this year i thought he would get more love
luongo has 11wins, .925 Sv% and a 2.3GAA
Halak 16 wins, .917sv% and a 2.35GAA
Bob (off year for the team plus injured) 12 wins .923 sv% 2.54GAA
Allen 11 wins .908SV% 2.47GAA (small sample size)
Pengwin has nailed it (although I'm usually not a big fan of his goalie advice )
Bob will be golden next year on a Columbus team that shouldn't be nearly as injured as they have been this year. Halak is close behind, Islanders will be elite next year, mark it. But overall I take Bob because he's the better goalie.
As far as the others go, there are too many questions. Allen loses points because of the platoon with Elliot (which will continue). Florida and Calgary just seem like middling teams with no clear direction. Lou and Hiller are both very good goalies, but lose points for the teams they come on.
Without me, it's only "aweso".
