I normally don't go with the unproven over someone established.....but I can't deny what Schneider has done so far.

I was hesitant to take Schneider over Lehtonen based on the Luongo situation but still believe Lou gets moved as soon as (or very shortly after) the lockout ends. I like Lehtonen and feel his BAB days are now in the past, and even though I think Dallas will be an improved team this year, Vancouver is still built to win right now. I am taking the starting goalie for one of the best teams in the league.

Going with Lehtonen here. At best Schneider is a clear cut #1 on a top team in the league, that would be great. At worst he's a 1A who maybe starts 50 games. If we're talking about this year specifically, that really hurts Schneider because of the shortened schedule.

Dallas looks improved to the point they'll be a playoff team. Lehtonen is working his way into the top 10 goalie discussion now that he's stayed mostly healthy, and I think he can get even higher on that list eventually. He'll start 65+ games in a full season, and win 35-40 of them. His stats were 2.33 and .922 last season.

Maybe Schneider can't handle 60 starts.....he's been great with spot starts normally against the weaker opponents, but how will he do playing every night? Or maybe the Canucks look to spotlight Luongo for a trade and he carries the load for a chunk of the season.

In a one year, it's Lehtonen for me and it's a pretty easy call.

In a one-year I'd take Lehtonen. Keeper I'd take Schneider. Love both though.

Going with Lehtonen but it was close. Similar to the Rask vote, i went with the proven over unproven but Lehtonens past injuries nearly lost it for him.
