Don't take the deal... Draft Rantanen and enjoy!
Thoughts? Im thinking of taling him in draft(below)Cats favour defence or Rantenin (whose fallen surprisingly) or I've been offered Hayden Fleury and the 15th for my 12th.
I'd still be left with a very good prospect

Do you think the guy in 15th wants to trade up for Rantanen? (I do) Will Werenski be there at 15?
I wouldn't risk it and pick Rantanen too.
I don't rate Fleury that much, so take the pick at 12. Either guy would be good; Rantanen should have a quicker impact but Werenski's upside is higher.
I would take Rantanen over Werenski but I really like Werenski and would take him over Fleury.

I think fantasy wise, Werenski could be the best D in this year's draft. He's not even 18 yet, the way he played in the NCAA at such a young age is incredible. He's got a tremendous opportunity also in CBJ as they don't have a real PP QB option. Ryan Murray doesn't own that upside IMO.

I agree with this; Werenski is a great prospect and he was drafted into a team which needs his skills. I would still take Rantanen ahead of him, though. Just my preference of forwards ahead of D-men.
I don't think very highly of Fleury, so I wouldn't take that deal. I believe both Rantanen and Werenski are gone before that #15 (meaning they go #12 and #13).
Chalk up one vote for taking Werenski here.
With your scoring, having a D who has an excellent chance at becoming a true PP1 dman is huge. And I think Werenski can fulfill that promise in CBJ.
Nothing against Rantanen, just prefer Werenski in your set up. Also, no deal on the proposed trade. As others have said, Fleury doesn't appear to have the same upside/situation and I doubt either Werenski or Rantanen are there at 15 for you.

I wouldn't expect either player to be available if you trade down. They are the obvious next two choices are Rantanen and Werenski.
Both picks are risky with upside. Rantanen will likely be able to help you sooner where Werenski has a high upside but it could take 5 years before you see it. Go with your gut, you're pretty much throwing darts at this stage of the draft.
