I traded Ghost to get him so I'm in a committed relationship now... Provorov this year and 3 years from now. Mega-talented.
Points only keeper.. Who is the best option this year and then three years from now? Points predictions for these 3, thanks!

This year, Theo.
In 3 years from now, Provorov.
I'll take Werenski....

Maine Moose 2021-2022
2019 WHL GM of the Year #Supersoft
I think werenski is severely under rated in points only. That team will get better, I know they passed on Jessi but PL could be Getzlaf like. I know torts tends to mess things up but I might go ...
Werenski
Provo
Theo
Sami has to stay pp1, ghost is a offensive guy too. That leaves werenski battling jones which imo makes werenski have the highest ceiling points wise.

points only I like Werenski this season but if Theo sticks I jump on the train - think it's Theo by year three though but not much in it

this year and forever and ever, amen
three great options, though.
also, I don't necessarily think Werenski is the clear guy in Columbus. With Jones, Murray, and Savard in the mix, I'm not convinced he gets top power play.

I was as high on Theodore as anyone under Boudreau. Under Carlyle is a different game. He HATES young players and stymies them at every opportunity. Ducks fans are seriously lamenting that Bieksa is the new TOI leader over even the better Lindholm/Vatanen if you check ducks forums for their opinion.
I like Provorov better as a prospect, however, he is going to be losing icetime on the PP to Ghost, whereas Werenski has to show offensive value over Jones, Savard and Murray. Jones is a terrific two way guy, but i see an upside of 40 points. Savard also. Murray is like Jones with #1 potential, but with slightly more offensive upside(My opinion anyways) and Murray has been a bit injury prone.
Werenski is an offensive Dman first. My opinion in a points only pool is he becomes valuable. Tortorella, however long he lasts, isn't shy about giving rookies time like Carlyle.
I am a haligonian shark fan, and I was jumping up and down in my chair screaming when Columbus took Werenski. I didn't think Wilson would take Meier next, so I was happy with it after the fact. Especially since Brent Burns went Annihilatrix offensively the next season.
Defensemen are trickier than forwards to develop and get going regarding fantasy. The top line always has 3 players, 2 of which usually light it up more than the 3rd. A top defensive pairing usually needs a righty and a lefty because it i harder to train guys to play on their off sides where their muscle memory for puck retrieval, using backhand instead of forehand to chip along the boards and instincts are all different. Brent burns said it best. "it is harder for me to play on the left side than it it to jump back and forth from forward to defense"
PP's often also often run 1 Dman and 4 forwards. Occasionally a pairing, but almost always a righty and lefty, not 2 righty Dmen, so Provorov may indeed get top PP time with Ghost as opposed to on another pairing. But traditionally, teams are always setting up the big right hand shot on the PP and Ghost was the catalyst for their PP surge last year as a rookie. They built everything around his shot, and they have a team full of passers aside from Simmonds.
