    Default Who to keep?

Hey guys im in a auction keeper league. Each year we are ablte to keep 6 players, price goes up 5 dollars each season for each player. Looking at my team what players do you think i should keep?

Category:Runs, HR, RBI, Steals, Avg., OPS, and Strikeouts for hitters and Wins, Strikeouts, ERA, WHIP, Saves, Complete Games, and K:BB ratio for pitchers

    My players

    Miguel Cabrera $45
    Troy Tulowitzki $41
    Yovani Gallardo $29
    James Shields $21
    David Price $20
    Brandon Morrow $15
    Nick Markakis $11
    Trevor Cahill $11
    Josh Rutledge $10
    Todd Frazier $10
    Lorenzo Cain $10
    Brett Wallace $10
    Carlos Ruiz $10
    Vinnie Pestano $10
    Wilton Lopez $10
    Matt Capps $5
    Trevor Bauer $1

I was thinking Miggy/Price/Shields/Morrow/Fraizer/Bauer. Also i get to keep Middlebrooks for free next season since he was my minor leaguer. Im not sure about if i should keep tulo or not because from last couple seasons rentry drafts people spend a ton of there auction money. For example pujols was $61 on the free market. It looks like most of my keepers are pitchers i dont no if thats a good thing or not.

I like your choices, but I would spend a little extra and keep Gallardo rather than Morrow.

I agree with my esteemed colleague. Gallardo is about as dependable as they come. Morrow has a huge upside, but he's going to have to produce consistently for a few years before I hop on board.

Are the prices listed after adding in the $5? I might keep Rutledge if it is $10. I like Gallardo too but $29 seems more than he'd go for if back in the auction. I could see keeping less than 6 if thats an option; build around your MVP & Cy Young contender and have more $ to spend and keep fewer players.

morrow at $20 is a stretch. if he wasn't so injury prone, sure. but the guy is peanut brittle. how much more will he cost at auction? i'm guessing not much more. and if he does go for lots of $$, then that will give you the opportunity to buy someone else.

you are loaded at 3b. i keep wallace over frazier, but want to keep frazier at $15, too. Trade? can you keep all three, then move one after the auction?

or..., somebody in your league must be salivating at the chance to roster Rutledge ( a player you correctly identify as expendable ). perhaps look to package Ruts and one of your 3b ( middlebrooks/ I think Frazier and Wallace are both better bets, going forward ), for a premium , inexpensive, talent.

and yes, drop tulo. you can buy him back for similar $$.

    What's your budget?

To be honest, the only one I'd consider keeping is Miggy. The rest I throw back in.
