it's very close but for the +/- and the fact that Neal has dual eligibility, I'd go with Neal on this one.

Still Corey Perry for me.
I personally believe that Neal hit his upside last year...and probably won't get as many shots on goal.
Perry for me. His upside is simply higher than Neal's. Last season was a disaster for Anaheim's big guns, and I would expect a solid turnaround. Plus, Perry is younger and will net you more PIM's.

Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.
Give me the former Hart Trophy winner in that format any day.
Neal's got to do it again. He also probably won't continue to see such a favorable role (zone starts, easy ice time). I'd take Perry - he's got a new contract to play for, too.
I guess a case could be made for either player but I'm going with Perry. Better sample size and a 50 goal / 98 point season under his belt - plus, as Angus said, he's got big money to play for.

Based on last year sure. Based on 2 years ago it was a clean sweep for Perry. Using this logic alone would have Ovechkin fall into the 3rd or 4th round most likely.
Neal has about as good of a year as anyone could have hoped for last year and Perry had as bad of a year as anyone could have projected. Things will balance out.
I will give the edge to Perry but it is close. I just need to see this 2 years in a row out of Neal before I would consider putting him above Perry. It is also very important to note as Angus said Neal probably won't get the zone time starts like he did last year. Crosby is going to be playing from the start of the season which will cut into Neals zone time starts significantly.

My rankings are not based on last year it is based on what I think both of these players will do this year. I think Neal will score 85-90 pts next year and I have Perry scoring 77-82 pts. Neal is always going to play with Malkin or Crosby and Neal is a good enough player to get points from them. The Sky is the limit for him.

Perry, there's just no way Getzlaf will sh*t the bed like he did last year, a hiccup in on otherwise illustrious career. He's the Whitney to Perry's Vrbata.

Id probaly go with perry here as well but if you are in a Yahoo league where Neal has LW/RW eligibility that should bump Neal's value up.
In a standard 6-cat league, I'd say their value is neck-and-neck.
Adding hits &
Consideing dual-eligibility.
I'm taking James Neal here.
