So about injuries. If I want to move an injured guy to the IR, how do I do that in Yahoo? Apparently RNH is out day to day, but if it lasts any longer I am not going to get rid of him but I want someone to go in his place while he stews on IR. Help please.

Hey, just click on his name and an IR spot will appear at the bottom of your lineup under the BENCH spots. If he is DTD he can go in an IR+ spot!

I am still here but haven't heard much since the season started.

TBH I am in a couple of other pools and, ultimately, have more vested interest in them than I do this one. I am however keeping my lineups up to date and have initiated some trades, but don't always hear back. That is fine, but, again, if I am being honest, I don't know how long this league will last.

BRCW - October 18 (Could be worse, 2 months of inactivity)
JAMIE - November 17 (Could be worse, not managing team at all)
EMU - November 13 (5 IR/NA players IN active lineup)
ANDREW - November 9 (Just noticed)

Here is what I would do:

1. Lock the teams and kick these guys out.
2. Find new managers.
3. Get this league going.

Edit: I am not a co-commish so not sure I can even do that, however, I would be willing to take over as commish if ED is still tied up!

- this is exactly how I feel. I was really looking forward to this. Only members of this forum, I thought it will be very active and competitive league. So far there are many inactive teams and it looks like some are tanking for next years draft or something. I wasn't exactly happy with my draft, so I traded Ovie for MacKinnon and a high pick and thought I will build this baby from the beginning. I'm surprised, until now I only lost 1 week. I should be happy and satisfied, right? Well, I'm not... I expected so much more. It should be harder to compete against "Dobberities"!

It is going to be difficult to find people who want to join this league and will actually try and get their teams out of last place.
Most guys would love to inherit a team that was well-drafted that will also get McDavid lol

Honestly, I think the league has way too many rules (5 page rule book and I literally didn't even read it) yet I sit in 3rd in a very un-competitive league lol.

There are 10 of us who are very committed and I believe the best thing to do would be to play this year out for fun and start something new next season with rules we all agree upon, not just a rulebook we inherited during a last minute push to draft. I love fantasy hockey but it sucks not communicating with members and having a competitive league.

I like this idea. Count me in!

I actually don't think it would be easy to save this (existing) league. We'd have to replace all those missing guys and even then there are so many questions about the rules, farm management and other things.

I would be willing to take a Mulligan on Year One of the BCPL, and try again next year, but I think I would want to do a completely new draft with new owners who are dedicated to at least set there rosters and respond to trade offers and messages. Agree too that there are too many rules. Too bad it isn't going well.

At the risk of alienating some potentially great GMs, maybe we need to open this to a) Dobber members who have a particular and high number of posts (+500, maybe), and b) who have at least ten posts per month so we know they are active.

Yeah, honestly don't know, even in the RHRS last year someone went inactive on us and it's literally a league comprised of the most legit members of the entire forum!
We will have to see what happens for the rest of the year and during the off-season. This league most likely will not have keeper implications past this season so may as well just have fun with it I guess!

I locked the 4 inactive teams, if they wish to be unlocked they can say something in this thread.

Looks like most of us are pretty active.

What I would say going forward is to treat this league as a one year league and drop all your bum prospects lol.
Chances are we completely re-draft with the 10-12 of us who are active and come up with some SIMPLE rules!

May I suggest keeping 7-8 guys from our current roster, and redrafting only the guys available from the inactive teams and/or guys who have been dropped. I don't have a ton of talent, but I am a big JT fan, and I currently have him. It also ticks me off that I drafted a great young gun like Nichushkin, and haven't really had him at all this year in my lineup.

Just an idea.
