Ok, was kind of thinking all that. Needed to shore up my goalie situation, I have bishop, hellybyck, Mason and halak on IR. Ended up trading for Schneider. Was just seeing what everyone else thought about him.

Really solidified your goaltending. Bishop & Schneider will be one of the top combo's in your league for sure. Halak appears to have lost his starting job in NY to Griess, and baring injury Helly will have limited value at best.

Schiends is an underrated fantasy tender.
Pluses:
- Elite GAA
- Elite Sv%
- In his goalie prime years
- One of the safest goalies in the league as far as being a true starter and not being pushed by anyone else.
Minuses:
- Plays for New Jersey

I take Schneider if I am looking to trade a goalie but Crawford if I a m keeping him - Crawford is under valued after being behind that Hawks team but h is a legitimate fantasy option and should give you similar stats to Schneider but more wins IMO - don't think there are huge amounts in it though hence I mention what you plan with him

Schneider would be a perennial Vezina candidate if he played on a better team. As it is, he should still get more credit than he does. Either way, a top goalie own.

The trade was another one that has been an ongoing series of trades over the last couple weeks. I ended up trading Nugent-Hopkins, Mason and the 10th overall for Schneider and Wennberg. I was going to drop Mason anyways to complete the deal so the other owner asked if I would just include him. I may start another thread and combine all the parts of the three trades to get an overall feel of the entire thing. Lol

Say 25-30 wins and outstand rate stats. If NJ ever puts skaters in front of him he's going to need more room in his home for all the Vezinas.
