I would not be taking a defenceman from this draft.
Villardi, Tippett, Glass, or Tolvanen would be my choices.
in a 30 team dynasty league, who do I want to pick fourth, I just want best player available and closest to making a NHL impact, also only players from this NHL draft are available.
G/A/PPP/SHP/PlusMinus/PIM/GWG/Hits/BLK
I'm thinking Yamamoto, but I think it might be a few years before he plays in NHL but depends who drafts him but IMO he has one of the highest point ceilings in the draft.
or should I go for a Heiskanen or a Makar who will probably produce across the board in this league.
I also like Mittelstadt,Tippet, and Valiardi depending who goes third.
my team for next year

My take would be whoever is left out of Hisher, Vilardi, Middlestadt or Patrick (not in order).

Do you draft before or after the actual NHL draft? If it's after, you might as well hold off on discussing this until we know who lands where.
If you draft before the actual draft, I'd be looking at someone like Vilardi (assuming he doesn't go 3rd overall, which he probably will), Glass or Mittelstadt.
I think Yamamoto at 4th overall will be too early but that's just my opinion. I'd be shocked if he goes in the top 15-20 in the actual NHL draft.

Mittlestadt I think has the most upside after Nolan and Nico (I think he could have more), so I would pick him first.
If he is gone any of Vilardi, Tippet, Glass, Pettersson, Tolvanen, Yamamanto, Necas are all about the same. and if you want a dman go with Makar as he probably has relative upside to the mentioned forwards

I can't list my 2nd main keeper as there are too many players, but it is a keep all H2H points-only league
If I trade down how far do you think Yamamoto would drop between 5-8?
yeah I know defense are bad but you gotta work with what you got, I guess i could wait until next year and draft one

I am not sure what is so enticing about Yamamoto but if you have a 2nd round pick, you can use that on him. Take the best player you can with the 4th overall and worry about Yamamoto later in your draft. There will be other D worth more than him (in my crystal ball ) that will go before he goes.

I just hear his offensive game is one of the best obviously if he can't do anything else then he won't make it but to make the NHL i find players have to be unreal at one thing and he's got that in offense if he can round out the rest and not get killed from his size he could make a run for scoring titles if on right team.

I don't think he's in the same tier as Vilardi or Middlestadt. If you can get 2 middle first round picks for your fourth, then by all means target Yamamoto with one of them and try to dig up another gem with the other one but as it stands, there is no use in using the 4th or anything in the top-8 for him IMO.
PS: guys like Robbie Schremp and even Sonny Milano had some of the best hands and slickest goals prior to the draft. Pure skill rarely translates to the next level. I'm not saying that Yamamoto is a 1-trick pony though as he is a great young hockey player. I just feel he's not as ''good'' as so other names that are being tossed around. FWIW, he's projected to go in the early-to-mid 20's in real-life.
