An emotional night tonight at the MTS Centre. Personalized video messages from several Jets on the big screen, thanking the fans (and management). A late goal to tie it up (which I swear they did just for us). The standing ovation we gave Stamkos for his 60th (even though we chanted "no goal, Stamkos" before that). And the "shirts off our backs" promo after the game, where random fans received autographed, game-worn jerseys.
A great season. The Jets did better than I expected, and so did True North.

Not much to talk about with the Jets atm so I haven't been posting here often. Just some news: Mark Scheifele was assigned to St. Johns for their playoff run.
I have some fresh articles for you all to read if interested.

Big hiatus here. Not much to mention recently. It's always slow for non-playoff teams when the playoffs are going on.
I'm not sure if anyone reads my articles on Bleacher Report or not, but I post about one a week now, usually 2-3 when there's more stuff to talk about. As the draft nears as well as free agency, I'm hoping to have this thread active again for the fantasy players!
Here's my latest article about the Jets goals as a team rebuilding.

A couple of Swedish Jets, Fredrik Petersson Wentzel and Sebasitan Owuya, will not be signed. Thus the Jets lose their rights.
Shopping Enstrom?
it does make some sense for the Jets, they can afford to give him up and acquire some nice pieces in return
I've wondered about this, actually. Postma has got to be on the cusp of making the big club, and they don't need another offensive defenseman. I think they'll be hesitant to move Enstrom this year, though. He's just so reliable, and they're still working on reining Byfuglien in. I don't think they'd make a big move like this quite yet, but it wouldn't shock me if they did. Depends on what kind of offer they receive; it would have to be good.
I've also wondered about this way before that article was ever written. Of course, that's pure speculation going on in the article. Enstrom is not rumored to be traded and probably won't be traded. I'm going speculate purely as well.
I covet Enstrom as much as the next Jets fan. I've loved him since I saw him play in his first ever game. He's valuable and a key piece to this team.
Back when the Nash rumors were going around, I asked myself what could we move to acquire him, or any top six forward for that matter. I inserted Enstrom in there and it made sense. I believe we can, realistically, move Enstrom to acquire a top six forward without it hurting us.
And when I say top six forward, I do mean someone with a ton of skill. Not some top six talent who is only a top six player because of the team he's on. If I'm not getting Nash-caliber players, it's a no no for me. And I'm not saying we can get Nash. Obviously, we'd have to add more, but I wouldn't mind putting a package together of Enstrom and a first-round pick to acquire someone major.
Then again, Enstrom's replacement would most likely be used with that first-round pick.
I would not trade Enstrom straight up, ever, unless I'm getting a pure top six player. It's not worth it if we're not getting a big-named player. Someone like P. Kane.

The Jets have $33 mil in cap space. After re-signing key FAs, it may drop to around $20 mil avail. What should the Jets do with all of their available cap space?

In un-related Jets news.

I just got him for Cody Hodgson straight up too!

12 Team - H2H Keeper League - 25 Players - 13 Keepers
(G, A, P, +/-, Hits, PPP, SOG, W, GAA, SV%)
Keepers
C: Tavares, Benn,
LW: Galchenyuk, Landeskog, .
RW: Pominville, Little, Oshie, Yakupov
D: Subban, Vatanen, Fowler
G: Price, Bishop
Pavs for Hodgson is a steal in any league regardless of scoring cats.
Whats the take on the rumour of Pavs being offered a KHL deal?
Do you see it as a backup plan incase there is a lockout, or is he looking to play elsewhere?
I doubt he's looking to play elsewhere. It would be a huge insult to a franchise that birthed him up to where he is now.
