JJ for young arms?

Looking at trying to trade JJ for some reliability (see: health). I don't want to downgrade too far because when he's on, he's ridiculous. But no one is willing to trade an ace for him+.

There is a guy in our league that has quite a few young arms. If I do a JJ+ an inconsequential player, which 2 players would you aim for?

Chacin
Baumgarner
Haren
Garcia
Danks

As usual, strikeouts (and IP) are king.

Other idea: wait until next year when JJ pitches a few gems and sell him for ONE legitimate ace. We start 4 SP every week, so I can't squeeze all my good pitchers in at once.

Do you consider that a winning trade for me? Is this something I should be considering or just scrap the idea, see how this year goes and trade him away next year?

I've got a 13-2 record right now and it's all thanks to my pitching minus JJ. You never know what can happen in 3-4 wks of playoffs though. I sure would like to take it this year...

Yes, especially if you can keep both of them. Haren is at the same level as Johnson, and getting Bumgarner is a huge bonus.

This one's tough for me. I'd rather have JJ than any of the other pitchers. With only 4 SP, I think I'd hold on to Johnson at this point... maqybe trade him for a top SP + a bat later on.

Either Haren and Madison Bumgarner or Chacin or even Hellickson.
Great trade with either of those guys paired with Haren.
