Looking through the list I noticed Gaunce at 6'2" and 215 lbs...

yep he is a big kid ..... Grigorenko is a big guy as well at 6'3" and 200 lbs. Must say I didnt realize that Teravainen was that light ..... listed at 165 lbs he needs to add another 20 pounds at least.

Gaunce is probably my first or 2nd favourite forward in this class.

really ?? interesting ..... what is it that you see in the kid that makes you say that ? I havent watched a lot of Junior hockey this year at all so I feel like im really behind the 8 ball re this draft and would love some insight.

My personal forward ranking goes like this so far (pts only), but its bound to change depending on which team picks who as well:

    Yakupov
    Galchenyuk
    Grigorenko
    Forsberg
Teravainen (heard good things but havent ever watched him in a game)
    Collberg
    Gaunce
    Faksa
    Aberg
    Girgensons

By "favourite" I don't mean he's better or that I'd pick him over guys above him, just that I like him every time I see him play. Big body, great leadership and work ethic, gets physical, not afraid to drop the gloves. I think he is a guy who will score more in the NHL than in junior. Right now he plays in Belleville on the international size ice which hinders his game IMO, because he is not a fast guy and not a pure skill guy. He also doesn't have the greatest supporting cast.

IMO he compares to a guy like Couturier but he has way more character. Think O'Reilly. Gaunce has a big chance to improve his stock at the U18 this month and at the combine. He is a guy who interviews extremely well so teams are gonna love him.

Big fan of Tom Wilson as well. Nasty son of a bitch on the Whalers. Probably will be gone by pick #20 at the draft. He's a guy whose numbers should improve dramatically next year IMO. He's a safe pick as he will make the NHL given his size, strength, and TRUCULENCE. 3rd liner at worst IMO.

Thanks and great point about the international ice size.

I will agree with Ev's assessment here of Gaunce AND Wilson (watch out next year). Gaunce is probably the safest pick in this entire draft class outside maybe Ryan Murray.
