According to a quote in an article on the Russian web site Championat.ru, Cherepanov will stay in Russia for one more year:

I don\'t know if that is a credible source but that doesn\'t look good. I wasn\'t thinking I would have to wait another year for him.

Since he was draft, he said he will comme to NHL in 2008-2009, but he don\'t want to play in Hartford and the RSL is better than the AHL so the Rangers won\'t say nothing.

He is suppose to comme for the rookie camp this summer and we\'ll say after that !

Don\'t worry he will play in 2009-2010 and maybe next year if Jagr, Straka and Shanny are out !
