What is the general consensus when it come to Erik Ersberg in LA? Is he going to stick? or is he just another flash in the pan? I am interested in using one of my acquired March picks to grab him off of wavers. Is he worth it or is there a better prospect you would use the pick on? Your help is greatly appreciated.

well it\'s tough to gauge his future with all the depth in the LA net and Bernier definately more than in the mix next season. but he is no flash in the pan. he has proven himself and has a pretty solid track record. this may play out like what is happening with Minny.

the strong technical, positional european goalie (Backstrom) that stared in Europe comes in and makes an immediate impact with the club. all the while the teams Franchise highly touted goalie (Harding - Bernier) is knocking on the door. I dunno, this is something that may need to be played out in camp. I would gamble on picking him because he is a goalie at least there may be decent trade value or it might be a steal if you keep him.

So ersberg is that good eh?...How do his technical skills compare to Bernier? All i know is what i see....and what I see is a pretty impressive goalie performing in the NHL(ersberg) for now atleast.

Comparing him to backstrom seems fair.

Ersberg is a solid goalie, and if LA wants to win next year he will be the guy, but i doubt that they will care about winning next year, and would rather develop young stars.
