Default Quick or Rinne, who is the best keeper?

    Keeper stated below (1.5pt W, 2pt SO, 0.5 OTL)

I have the chance to acquire one or the other. Which should I make the bigger push for? This is to win this season, also for playoffs and every year afterwards.

Tough choice, my gut says Rinne but my mind says Quick. I like the stability with Quick, that team's core is locked down for a long time. Rinne on the other hand could suffer a bit if Weber or Sutter leave the team. Very close imo.

I'd say Rinne. Sad to say, but his team can put the puck in the net better than Quick's.

    Haha, pretty split thus far.
Rinne is locked up long term on a team known for defensive hockey first, whether Suter and or Weber stay there. But Quick SHOULD be playing for a premier team for a long time if LA can ever find its identity. Hopefully that equals to somewhat higher win totals for Quick.

Quick IS younger as another plus...

I expect Rinne to have better overall career.

It's is a really tought one I really don't know who to choose but for me Rinne is the best goalie after LUNDY so I will go whit Rinne. Quick is really good too but you don't know whit Bernier for is backup. Rinne have Lindback for backup who is pretty good too.

This year Nashville are ahead of the LA Kings so if the Preds keep both Weber and Sutter I think they will go further than the Kings.

    So go whit Rinne...

You can't go wrong either way. However, as good as Rinne is, and as much as i love his size and Nsh's defense, i HATE their offense. Now the Kings haven't been lighting it up either, but i like their offense better moving forward. Who knows, if they get a Parise or someone else who could make a world of difference with scoring. I also like what's on their farm, defensively.

Just beyond the halfway point, Quick is the #2 ranked G and # 3 ranked player OVERALL on Yahoo. Rinne is 6th ranked G and 30th ranked player OVERALL. Quick reminds me of Thomas, whom i like great deal.

    Quick: 23W-13L-9T, .935sv%, 1.89GAA, 6SO
    Rinne: 30W-11L-5T, .925sv%, 2.38GAA, 4SO

Rinne clearly has the better defense. Quick is only lagging in Ws to him. LA just needs to get someone to ride shotgun with Kopi. LA's organizational depth with offensive proects is better than Nsh's. Although I give Nsh the edge defensively, i just see LAK figuring out their offensive situation long before Nsh.

I honestly believe that LA is a far more attractive destination for a would be FA who wants to go to a contending team, in an effort to win a cup, too. I wouldn't sleep on this factor and would roll with Quick who is showing you what he can do without a sick D and an underachieving offense. At least Rinne has a sick D.

Again, you can't go wrong either way, i just feel Quick is doing more with less and is more likely to get more help than Rinne. Numbers aside, because they are pretty much identical, those are factors that tip me toward Quick.
