karlson was just dropped, i have salak as a 4th goalie (price, lundy and giggy). a few extra starts this year would be nice, but i am thinking about who has the better chance to get a shot at being a starter next year.

Flames are deep at G now. Karlsson, Kari Ramo and Irving. Kipper is not going anywhere next year either. He's too CONSISTENT to give up starts to Karlsson. The only reason Karlsson would play is to give Kipper rest. I don't foresee flames being in NYR situation where they play Biron once a week just to keep Lundqvist fresh. Every year they say they're gonna rest Kipper but it never happens because they're always fighting for playoff spots.
Also, I don't even think Karlsson is going to be their future starter. Irving will be, and Ramo maybe a stopgap in between.
