A friend and I had a little discussion on the game. He said we played a great effort and that we shoulda won, I disagreed. As mentioned, we had outshot them but for 2 1/2 periods all we did was take long shots the Russian goalie could clearly see, no traffic in front of the net whatsoever, we made it easy for them.

Any team can fire shots on net but a hot goalie seeing every one is gonna stop them easily.

Combined with being undisciplined and taking lots of penalties, we had a recipe to lose against a solid Russian team.

The final 10:33 of the game was great tho. We got bodies in front of the net, got some bounces and the officials let the kids play.

They should have stuck with Mark Visentin.
    He looks great today.

Andrei Makarov of Saskatoon Blades is reportedly the starter for RUS over Andrei Vasilevski in gold medal game tonight vs. Sweden.

I dont understand why the announcers keep saying they should be proud to play so good in a Bronze medal game.

    They weren't gonna try?

Canada wins the Bronze medal game and looks like they just won a round robin game over Latvia.

The Finns lost and look really depressed.

    Totally different mindsets.

Incredible performance. He got absolutely peppered, which says more about the rest of the Russian team than it does about him. The Russians seemed to be out of gas. No hustle all game, didn't win a single puck battle. Entertaining game!

Sens fans, get your hands off your dick. That was a good goal but Zibanejad is not the second coming.
