I dont think so... He already had a spot over the benched Sampsonov... so The trade ddoes little for his value... Salmelaninen won\'t be competion and Montreal says they will \"re-asses his status later\"... If anything it does increas other prospects like Locke, Kostitsyn ect up in the system...

I see the lines as this in Montreal next season, Unless we go after a number 1 Centre
Higgins - Koivu - Ryder
Latendresse - Plakenec - Kovalev
S Kostitsyn - Grabovski - A Kostitsyn
Lapierre - Chipchura - Johnson (if resigned)
If they sign someone like Briere then i think everyone bumps down a spot and Grabovski is sent back to the AHL
