I've been offered a new Skinner deal. I know some value Carlson very highly, I consider Shattenkirk very close to him. Dobber has him ranked 1 spot behind Carlson in the D rankings as well. I see him being better in the shortterm and my D is fine in the longterm.
I need center help, am actively after Skinner. I can see him getting 40 soon.

i really like this deal for you carlson and shatty are pretty close and those 2 could go either way. its kind of a toss up at this point. i think JVR and skinner are pretty close but i give the edge to skinner in this one

JVR and Skinner are a wash and Shatty has more pure offense than Carlsson, IMO so if these deal helps your positional requirements, go for it.
Thanks guys, I pulled the trigger. My already crap team +/- just got way worse, but I really like Skinner and I think Carlson/Shattenkirk are a wash in the next few years. I turned down Skinner/Grabner for JVR/Landeskog but I find this deal is a bit safer. Appreciate the help!

So ironic. Jeff Angus says I should have taken the Grabner deal, everyone here told me not to. Everyone here is on board the Skinner deal, Dobber calls it borderline horrible because outside offensive stats I plummeted. I don't know what Dobber's talking about. I upgrade G/A/PPP/SOG/GWG, SHP/PIM are basically a wash with these 2 sides. Only +/- gets damaged.

I would have taken JVR over any of them.
He was taken 2nd overall for a reason and I think he'll have better peripheral stats than skinner.
