Rinne and Lundqvist - proven durable and reliable workhorses with sweet stats.
If you were drafting for a dynasty league today with the following goalie stats: W, GAA, SV%, SV, SO, which 2 goalies would be your top picks to draft and why?
Simple question hopefully

I would have to say Bryzgalov and Luongo. Being on Phily won't hurt Ilya's number just elevate them to the next level. And regardless of his playoff performance LU is still a monster in regular season

My two favourite goalies in almost any format are Lundqvist and Miller. The reason being is they play a lot of games and are by far the best players on their respected teams. They fill in the cats such as SV%, SV, SO, etc...where they fall short to other G who play on better teams is in W as BUF and NYR are top tier teams. But I like their peripheral stats over any other G in the game and for that reason I rank them 1 and 2. There are other great G in the game today like Rinne, Luongo, Price, Bryz (now in PHI is very intriguing), Ward, Thomas, Fleury that all deserve consideration as well. But for me I like the King and likely the most consistent G in the league - Ryan Milller.
Another important reason that I prefer these two over the rest is:
1. Consistency
2. Ability to stay healthy

Lundqvist and Rinne, with Price a close third. Rinne is more proven than Price, but Price is much younger and already posting great stats. Lundvist number one, Rinne number 2a, Price number 2b.

Not much love for Luongo as a top goalie. Is it age?

I don't think age is a big factor with Luo. Look at this year's playoffs. I honestly think that people realize that although he IS one of the best goalies in the world, he has a difficult time in a clutch performance. When games really matter, he tends to play anywhere from "horrible to average", but rarely plays "amazingly". He just has a hard time winning the "big game". Now, from a purely statistical point of view, this shouldn't negatively impact his fantasy value; he consistently puts up huge numbers for regular season stats. Since most fantasy leagues don't take playoff stats into consideration, he should still be considered one of the best goalie options; top 2 or 3 for sure. For whatever reason, people lower his value because of his playoff perfomances, even though they don't affect fantasy hockey.
Another thing to be taken into consideration, is how he sits in Vancouver. Although I think his job is perfectly safe, there are many people who are calling for his head. I heard, more than once, fans suggest that they should unload Luo and sign Schneider for the long run. Personally, I think this is a bit of a knee-jerk reaction, but there are those out there who suggest that his situation in Vancouver might not be that stable. Certainly, Rinne, Price and Lundy are in about as stable a position as you can be in. If the perception that his starting job is in jeapardy (again, I don't think it is), then that could take him down a notch or two on the value-meter for fantasy hockey.

Agree w/shoeless & RR.
Lundqvist & Rinne.
(Note on Rinne: He was injured during most of December... or he probably would have started 70 games.)
The lack of love for Luongo is mostly due to Schneider.
Any team that has a solid back-up will try to get the back-up about 20 games (leaving 60 for the #1).
If you look at the last 5-6 years, teams that work their #1 goalies too much (70games) do not go far in the playoffs. I made a list once, and of the last 10-12 teams to have a 70-game goalie... only one made it to the conference finals (I believe).
Lundqvist and Price for me.
Give me Lundqvist and Miller !!!
Lundqvist and Miller are hard to beat. Consistency, heavy workloads, competitive teams, not old, and pure awesomeness.
All that said, if my keeper pool was re-drafting i'm taking Carey Price 1st. I've been his biggest supporter for years and even during his lean times stayed faithful and always saved a spot for him in my keepers, because his potential was sky-high. When he's got his A-game, he's near unbeatable.
I think come this time next year, he'll be the undisputed king of goalies in keeper pools.

Hard to disagree with most of the names being thrown around, with perhaps the exception of Price. He might belong in this conversation if he puts together another two seasons like he did last year. Until then, he's just another promising goalie, albeit one who has a great season under his belt.
